I’ve had this website up and running through textpad and then wordpress since 2005. Social media kinda killed the blog. Getting an immediate reaction to videos and ideas on social media can be gratifying. But the downside is this. My ideas, my content, my creativity and bookface gets to monetize ads on my labor. They are selling me back to me for the price of something I already created here. There used to be posts here that got hundreds of comments from real people.
Maybe de-platforming my effort will make me more creative instead of less. We’ll see.
