You can do a lot with a sea kayak! Expeditions, day trips, open water surfing, rock gardening, racing\/fitness paddling, tide race current play. <br><br>Course Offerings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Intro to Paddling Paddlesport fundamentals (3 hrs) &#8211; Going forwards, backwards, turning, self-rescue, assisted rescue<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Directional Control (2 hrs) &#8211; All the kinds of turning and control, going sideways and backwards + some edging. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Safety &amp; Rescue (2 hrs) &#8211; The myriad methods of self &amp; assisted rescue and some towing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rolling (2hrs) &#8211; Rolling is a gateway skill for kayaking that opens doors to everything else. With access to local white water on the Kalamazoo river and the Rogue river, and the East Race we have great local opportunities to play on moving water in small boats. <br><br>&#8211; Intro to Moving Water (3 hrs) &#8211; this course will get you started on a local waterway in a small white water kayak.
